New Atom's

So I was playing around with creating a painting without starting from a sketch. And this is what I made. It was very exciting to do, the out come unknown and a new found freedom with paint.
I dont know what It means or care, it feels great to do something different.

Well the exhibition was a great success,I didn't really sell to much but I don't base success on that.
Many thanks to those that came and the new friends I have made.
I appreciate all your kind words and positivity towards my artworks.

In Trouble - October 2008 Cover

Thanks to IN TROUBLE for putting one of my artworks on there cover this month :)
I walked into Outre Gallery in Melbourne and saw it there while distributing fliers for the exhibition. I was very happy.

Group shot, i was waiting for them to fall down on each other...oh to have some studio space.


I cant wait to hang these pictures in the exhibition.
I'll finally be able to move around my room, and I'll be able to take proper photos of them all.
This one above is pretty much done, 60cm 45cm as usual. No name for it yet...I've no idea what its all about.

Here is where Ive done all my work, Ive just cleaned up.
A heap of paintings to the side stacked up ready for the exhibition, my mac and my open window letting in heaps of blinding light. Oh and on the table is a new painting im working on. See below. Another mystery. But I like the symmetry, the snakes flow and the finger in the girls eye.

Well not long before the exhibition opening, no big deal..but Im only half way done.
Not that I haven't been busy, I just keep accepting to do other artworks and illustrations for different things. Like Nintendo art exhibition and St.Luke's Palate exhibition (I'll post images of it soon, still working it out.)

Melbourne cityscape

I usually go wondering on my lunchbreaks, sometimes up tall buildings and wonder round on the roofs looking for adventure and new sights.

I took this photo the other day, its one of the nicest ones Ive taken.
Such warm muted colours and it dosent really look like melbourne from this view.
maybe its just me .


I like rooftops and how each one has its own personality...yep Im strange.

New works for Lost Property Exhibition

Here is a closer view of two paintings I currently have in the Lost Property Exhibition (July08) The one on the left - Broken Branches (sold) and Evicted (used on the flyer & posters).

2 photos of a picture im working on called "Complex little flower" for now.
Its a bit tricky to vision it at this stage but Im thinking it will be painted on wood with a stained black background.

Lost Property - Ikin and Mupz exhibition

Had my first exhibition in Melbourne on Friday 4th of July, the opening night was a success with a great turnout of smiling faces and a beer in every hand thanks to Barons : )
